At the end of the last blog entry I was attempting to resolve a problem with a dead pine tree hanging over my stacks of drying white pine boards. Well, I have been busy!
First I stacked all of the two by six boards along the walls inside the garage.
Then I stacked one by 6, 8, 10 14, 19 boards in the shed.
My grandson Aidan and I stacked the rest of the lumber out of the way of the pine tree.
I used a ladder to get as high up the pine tree as I could to attach a climbing rope to the trunk. I was quite pleased that my weight didn’t cause the tree to fall down while I was up there. With my exploits, that is how things usually work out.
The rope went around a tree that acted as a fulcrum,
and attached to the frame of the pickup truck. I could only imagine the damage I could inflict on my ten year old truck!
Well believe it or not, it worked, on the first try! Now I’m going to go out and buy a Megabucks ticket! With luck like this, I’m on a roll!
