April Flowers

This blog is going to be short on words and long on pictures. I walked around our yard and gardens today (April 21, 2021) and took pictures of the plants that are currently flowering. Just as pleasing as the flowersI I saw, were the flower buds of others to bloom in another week or so. In our woodlot, the maple leaves are beginning to emerge and the oaks are not far behind. Yay spring!

Hyacinths
Plum
Magnolia
Forsythia
Peach
Pear
Apricot
PJM Rhododendron
Bloodroot
Vinca
Daffodils
The first of many tulips to come.

As I look out of the window, I can see the crabapple tree, oriental pear tree, spirea and rhododendron all budded up and ready to bloom. I think this is going to be quite the year for flowers.
